75% Chance Of Near to Below Normal Hurricane Season

HONOLULU, OAHU (Ben Caxton) — Except for perhaps having to deal with a hurricane in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic and closures, the National Weather Service is predicting a 75% chance of a “near to below normal” season. That would mean two to six tropical cyclones over the course of the 2020 hurricane season in the Central Pacific. The season begins June 1 and extends through Nov. 30.
