Black Pot Beach Park Reopening Meeting Thursday

HANALEI, KAUA`I (Ben Caxton) — A public meeting on the reopening of Black Pot Beach Park has been set for this Thursday, July 11, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hanalei School cafeteria. Director of Parks and Recreation Patrick Porter said in a statement that the meeting is being held to discuss the work that has been completed and the plans for reopening the beach park, which include public parking areas, boat ramps, and other park-related updates. Porter added his thanks to the public and the North Shore community for their patience with the project. The beach area was heavily damaged in the historic floods of April 2018.
