Four More Weeks Of Roadwork in `ele`ele and Hanapepe

HANAPEPE, KAUA`I (Ben Caxton) — Four more weeks of roadwork are on tap for the ‘Ele’ele and Hanapepe areas. The Department of Public Works said yesterday that the work will resume next Thursday, September 26, and continue through October 19. The project includes grass cutting, weed control of street and grassy shoulders, and seal coating of area roads which will mean roving and periodic lane closures. No vehicle parking on the road or grassy shoulders and the work zones will be coned off to prevent anyone from driving or stepping on wet materials. The county reminds residents that any vehicle left on the street or grassy road shoulders within the work zones after 7:30 AM will be towed at the owner’s expense.
