Hanapepe, Kapa`a Sunshine Markets Open to the Public

LIHU`E, KAUA`I (Ben Caxton) — The County of Kaua‘i Office of Economic Development is reminding the public that the Hanapepe and Kapa`a Sunshine Markets have reopened with a new schedule.Signs are posted at each market to inform shoppers of proper COVID-19 safety guidelines, face coverings are mandatory, and volunteers are also present to ensure social distancing measures are followed. On Thursdays, the Hanapepe Sunshine Market, located behind the Hanapepe Fire Station, is open from 2:00 PM — or until all produce is sold — and no later than 4:00 PM. On Mondays, the Kapa`a Sunshine Market is located at its temporary location at Kapa`a Beach Park, and will be open from 2:00 PM — or until all produce is sold — and no later than 5:00 PM. The Office of Economic Development will announce openings of other Sunshine Market throughout the island in the near future.
