Kaua`i Councilmember Brun Cited in Accident

KAPA`A, KAUA`I (Ben Caxton) — Kaua`i police have confirmed that one of the driver’s involved in last weeks accident on the Kapa`a Bypass that injured a six-year-old boy was Kaua`i Councilmember Arthur Brun. Kaua`i Police say there appeared to be no indications of driver impairment but Brun was cited for crossing the double yellow line and driving without insurance. Brun was indicted last November on felony assault charges in connection with a ten-minute October 29 police chase through downtown Lihu`e where police say the 47-year-old Brun struck a police officer fleeing the scene of a traffic stop.
