Running out Of Targets Ige Quarantines Intra-island Travelers

HONOLULU, OAHU (Ben Caxton) — Having already issued stay-at-home orders for all Hawai`i residents, shutting down all science at the telescopes on Mauna Kea, and telling all arriving travelers they must quarantine themselves in their hotel room for 14 days before heading out into the Hawai`ian sun it seemed Governor David Ige was running out of targets. But he found another. Starting Wednesday he has ordered anyone traveling between islands into a 14-day quarantine as well. The order excludes health care and a few other workers deemed “essential”.
