Maui Man Convicted Of Child Sex Assaults

THE BIG ISLAND (Ben Caxton) — A Maui man has been convicted in the sexual assaults of four girls on the Big Island that occurred between 1998 and 2007. The victims were all under the age of ten, with one as young as five years old when the abuse began. 59-year-old Michael Martin Zelko pled “no contest” to 11 counts of third-degree sexual assault. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 20.
