Kaua`i Police Looking for Bail Jumper in Abuse Case

LIHU`E, KAUA`I (Ben Caxton) — Bail has been revoked and police are searching for an `Ele`ele man who failed to show up to court for court hearing last week. 33-year-old Akeem Allen had been free on $50,000 bond after being accused of repeatedly physically assaulting an unidentified 22-year-old Hanapepe woman over the course of the last six months. Allen was last arrested August 22 by Kauai Police officers after an altercation with the woman at the Hanapepe tennis courts. He spent two days in jail and was released. But when he failed to appear in court Wednesday Fifth Circuit Chief Judge Randal Valenciano revoked bail and issued a $50,000 bench warrant for his arrest.
