One Escapee in Custody, One to Go

LIHU`E, KAUA`I (Ben Caxton) — Kaua`i Police report that they have recaptured one of two inmates who escaped from the Kaua’i Community Correctional Center on Sunday night. 21-year-old Isaiah Pongasi-Adric was discovered to be hiding at a residence in Anahola. He was taken back into custody around 9:00 PM Wednesday evening without incident police say. He was booked at Lihu`ee Police Cellblock on charges of Escape in the Second Degree and on two Criminal Contempt of Court warrants before being transferred back to the custody of the state Department of Public Safety who originally lost track of him over the weekend. Meanwhile, the search continues for the second inmate escapee. Jeffrey Kelekoma Jr. is 37 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Kelekoma Jr.’s whereabouts is urged to call Police Dispatch at 241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers Kaua’i at 246-8300.

  1. KPD even looking for the other escape person or you guys just sitting down doing nothing? or you guuys like other people do your work for you beacuse its been a week already since he escaped and hes still missing? you guys arent doing your job at all!!!!
