Shooter at Pearl Harbor Identified by Navy

PEARL HARBOR, OAHU (Ben Caxton) — The active-duty sailor who opened fire at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard near Honolulu on Wednesday has been identified. Military officials say it was 22-year-old Gabriel Romero who killed two civilian and wounded a third, with his M4 service rifle before using his M9 service pistol to take his own life. Sources told local media that Romero was having disciplinary problems at work and had been enrolled in anger management courses and expressed concern that Romero had been assigned an armed position at the shipyard despite his history of problems. The identifies of the victims killed at Drydock Two at Pearl Harbor have not yet been released.
