Southwest Expands Intraisland Flights Again

HONOLULU, OAHU (Ben Caxton) — Southwest Airlines expansion of its interisland services continues with new flights added over the weekend between Honolulu and Kona on the Big Island. Southwest says they now have 1800 daily seats available on various flights between the islands, The airline plans to continue the expansion. Sometime later this year or early next year Southwest will be adding four daily round trips to Hilo on the east side of Hawaii island which would nearly double passenger seat availability.
