Wet and Windy Weather to Kick off the Week

LIHU`E, KAUA`I (Ben Caxton) — Wet weather will continue on Kaua`i for your Monday, while strong and gusty winds will last through much of the coming week. Surf Advisories have been posted for the island from tonight into Tuesday night because of the strong winds. The threat of heavy showers will gradually diminish into Wednesday as trade winds remain locally strong and gusty while delivering diminishing windward showers. Unsettled weather could return late Thursday and Friday, with lighter winds. A trend toward drier trade wind weather is expected next weekend. Meteorologist Tom Churchill will have more coming up this hour.
